Find the actual skills gap
Ask employees which tasks take too long, where errors occur and which tools they find difficult. Different departments and experience levels may need different starting points.
Teach through relevant work
Use exercises based on familiar tasks, such as preparing a report, cleaning a dataset or collaborating on a document. Include responsible information handling as part of the workflow.
Support practice after the session
Provide clear reference materials, opportunities to practise and a way to ask questions. Review whether staff can apply the skills in their normal work before deciding what to teach next.
