Start with suitable tasks
AI tools can help draft outlines, summarise public information and improve the structure of routine documents. Start with tasks where a person can evaluate the result and where confidential inputs are not necessary.
Set information boundaries
Before using a tool, agree which information may be shared and which requires an approved environment. Remove identifiers where appropriate, avoid uploading confidential files without authorisation and check your organisation’s policies.
Review before relying on the result
Check facts, calculations and source material. A fluent answer is not proof of accuracy. Keep a person responsible for the final work and escalate questions about sensitive information to the appropriate owner.
